Napkin Productions is a Copenhagen-based film company founded by six producers.
Why Napkin Productions? Because a napkin is what you grab and write on when an idea is simply to restless to wait.
Born out of a shared desire to reimagine how films are made and who gets to make them, Napkin Productions brings together six distinct producer profiles under one roof, each with their own voice, background, and creative vision.
At Napkin Productions we believe that film is a team sport, that collaboration is more important than competition and first and foremost we believe in the power of collective momentum.
Napkin Productions six producers met at The National Film School of Denmark, and for the first time in the school’s history, they decided to join forces and found a company together.

Ane Vennize Andersen
Producer
ane@napkinproductions.dk / +45 28 40 41 32
Ane Vennize Andersen (b. 1996) is a Danish film producer educated at The National Film School of Denmark and holding a BA in Art History from the University of Copenhagen. Ane’s background in visual culture continues to inform their visual and conceptual approach to filmmaking.
As co-founder of Napkin Productions, Ane’s reason to found the company was to stay ambitious, collaborative and to create a community that shares responsibility and inspiration. In 2025, Ane joined The Bunch as an associate producer while continuing their creative development at Napkin Productions.
Ane enjoys staying close to the creative process and the creative core of the projects they work on. Continuously exploring both historical and heightened-dramatical universes, Ane thrives working on original films where world-building and emotional precision go hand in hand.
Ane is drawn to projects where strong aesthetics, emotional clarity, and playful experimentation coexist. Their slate spans a wide range of genres, tones, and thematic landscapes: from intimate character-driven stories to conceptually bold pieces, and has worked with both heightened fiction and observational and humor-infused documentaries.
Emilia Moth
Producer
emilia@napkinproductions.dk / +45 28 71 68 08
Emilia Moth (b. 1992) is a Danish film producer educated at The National Film School of Denmark and from the University of Copenhagen where she holds a Masters degree in literature and film. Emilia’s career started in documentary filmmaking where she amongst other titles assisted on Lea Glob’s “Apolonia, Apolonia” Guy Davidi’s “Innocence” , Lars Borkings ”Fredens Havns” and Mikala Krogh’s ”Scandinavian Star.”
Her heart has been beating for the creative complexity of film production ever since.
Emilia thrives in close collaborations, especially in the development of a story.
She has produced several short films, both fiction and documentary, and her first feature documentary, directed by Camille Bildsøe, was selected for CPH:DOX 2021.
As co-founder of Napkin Productions, she is focused on collective thinking and artistic risk-taking, whether working on fiction or documentary. She likes to sniff up stories herself and is endlessly driven if the story has humor, originality or a sense of urgency.
For Emilia, producing film is both an act of creation and resistance. She believes that film is an artform that can truly challenge the noise, and a way of convincing people that art – and the way we produce it – matters!

Laura Plummer
Producer
laura@napkinproductions.dk / +45 26 63 90 41
Laura Plummer (b. 1995) is a Danish film producer educated at The National Film School of Denmark and through Zentropa’s in-house producer programme, where she worked closely with Lars von Trier and producer Louise Vesth.
Laura insists on a playful approach to the creative process and never takes herself or others too seriously. For her, filmmaking is about curiosity and community. She thrives on creating and leading in a way where space for ideas can grow before they are defined or shut down.
She was the producer behind the short film Solo Female and the documentary Slush which was her two graduate films from The National Film School of Denmark.
Laura has a special interest in storytelling for children and young audiences and is currently developing a new project for children with screenwriter Arthur Delay that has a strong female character.
Laura believes that children’s content is one of the most vital and underestimated areas of filmmaking and a space that deserves more originality, more creative development and more new voices as well as rarely seen characters.
For Laura, producing is about trust, collaboration and the joy of creating something that connects people. And having fun while doing it is a must!
Mikkel Andreas Smidt
Producer
mikkel@napkinproductions.dk / +45 26 35 26 80
Mikkel Smidt (b. 1993) is a Danish film producer educated at The National Film School of Denmark and through Zentropa’s in-house producer programme, where he worked under acclaimed producers such as Sisse Graum Jørgensen and Louise Vesth. With a background that spans both creative development and production management, Mikkel moves between the artistic and the logistical and with a big curiosity for the process and the people that are around him.
He has produced several short films selected for festivals such as Göteborg Film Festival, Odense International Film Festival, and Tallinn Black Nights.
Mikkel’s outlook has a distinct international focus. He is in the midst of a cross-cultural project in Italy, exploring new ways to strengthen Danish-Italian co-production.
Mikkel’s middle name is risk taking. He seeks films that create resonance and says something about the human experience and he never stops pushing towards a high sense of ambition in front and behind the camera.

Nawa Al-Ani
Producer
nawa@napkinproductions.dk / +45 20 94 88 99
Nawa Alani (b. 1996) is a Danish film producer educated at The National Film School of Denmark. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Film and Television from the University of the Arts London. After coming back to Denmark she worked at Nordisk Film Production where she assisted and collaborated closely with prominent producers.
Nawa is a producer who sees film as an essential part of our society. A tool that both reflects and shapes our culture and understanding of one another. She believes that film can create nuance and open windows into worlds we rarely have access to, and these beliefs are reflected in the projects she chooses to produce.
For Nawa, filmmaking is first and foremost about the strength of the story. The format is secondary, as long as the story feels present and true. Therefore Nawa seeks both fiction and documentary projects. She values risk-taking, both in her work-partners and in herself. Unconventional and original working processes are key for Nawa, because this is where creativity and curiosity can truly unfold.
Nawa likes to reflect and consider the status quo and is curious about how we can change ingrained habits in our line business.
In collaboration, she emphasizes equality, mutual respect, and the ability to listen – a quality that is at Nawa’s core as a person and a producer. When listen carefully, nuances, perspectives and new ideas for stories come to life.
Ulrikke Xenia
Producer
ulrikke@napkinproductions.dk / +45 30 49 40 69
Ulrikke Xenia (b. 1995) is a producer with a passion for bold, boundary-pushing visual storytelling. She is dedicated to amplifying unheard voices and creating cinematic spaces where perspectives that challenge the norm can unfold.
Ulrikke’s work is characterized by a cinematic eye and a deep respect for story — both its structure and its soul. She thrives in collaborative environments where ideas can breathe and evolve, and where artistic risk-taking is seen as a necessity rather than a luxury.
She works fluidly across formats — fiction, animation, documentary, and hybrid — always guided by what best serves the creative vision. Her approach is rooted in curiosity, empathy, and a belief that form should be as daring as the story itself.
She believes in cinema’s ability to open space for reflection, foster empathy, and ignite dialogue about what it means to be human.
